Hopunion LLC is owned by six hop growing families. The growers involved operate hop farms in both Oregon and Washington. Ralph Olson also holds an ownership interest in the company and serves as the General Manager. We thrive on our extensive tradition of growing high quality, specialty hops for the craft brewing industry. In 2006, Hopunion formed a strategic partnership with Yakima Chief Inc’s Craft Brewing Division. The combination of these two companies have strengthened our ability to provide a greater selection of hop varieties, improve efficiencies in pellet plant production and enhance our ability to produce larger volumes of consistently higher quality hop products.

We are a vertically integrated company that not only grows hops but also processes, stores, and provides extensive logistics to accommodate our customers’ needs. Our facility operates six cold storage warehouses totaling 60,000 square feet and a large pellet processing plant. Our mission is to promote our customers’ success by providing them with the highest quality hop products and uncompromising service at a fair price.

Great care is taken when processing our hops to protect the pristine oil profile so desired by our customers. We run our pellet plant extremely slow and utilize nitrogen to cool the pellet die to accomplish this goal. As a result, we consider our T-90 hop pellets to be the best available. We package our hop pellets in 11 lbs. or 44 lbs. nitrogen flushed and vacuum sealed packages. Hops are delivered from the farm in raw whole flower bales weighing approximately 200 lbs each. Our raw hops are sold as a full 200 lbs. bale, 100 lbs. half bale, 50 lbs. ¼ bale and 13 lbs. mini bale. The 50 lbs. and 13 lbs. mini bales are nitrogen flushed and vacuum sealed just like our 11 lbs. and 44 lbs. pellets. The nitrogen flush and vacuum seal process is used to protect the hops from oxidation extending shelf life and locking in freshness. In addition to the above mentioned products, we also offer a variety of Hop Oils, Co2 Extracts, Isohop and other downstream products.
